Best Kpop Music Releases - January 2019
With a month full of activity for kpop music, here we mention only ten notorious music productions hand-picked from a very big list of great music released on January 2019. All of this below albums and songs, you can listen and request in our main kpop music channel.
Kim Chan Mi or Annie Kim, from MNH Entertainment started the year with a single album release “XII”, on January 2, with the track “Gotta Go”. This song made her win already many “number ones” in all kpop music shows in Korea, like MBC Show Champion, Mnet M! Countdown, MBC Show! Music Core, SBS Inkigayo and KBS Music Bank. The ex-member from project girl group I.O.I, already had many music releases since her debut in April 2017, with 3 EP albums. Enjoy her latest release here below.
The popular and “veteran” girl group from Plan A Entertainment, in activity since April 2011, made the release of their 8th EP album “Percent”, on January 7, consisting of a total of 6 tracks, with the title song “%%” (Eung Eung). This album mixed by Black Eyed Pilsung shows us a very interesting mix of rhythms. With a production of 4 korean and 3 Japanese long play albums, and also 8 extended play albums for Korea, many singles and OST songs, Apink keeps making happy their Panda fan club. With real name Kim Yun Ho, the Korean singer, producer, musician and DJ from DCTOM Entertainment, in activity since 2010, made a release of his extended play album “Hello”, on January 1, consisting of 3 tracks. With the main song “Bad Habits”, the ex-member of the indie rock group The Koxx, was doing great on the GAON & Billboard Korean charts. Watch here his video for “Bad Habits”.
WJSN (Cosmic Girls)
The 13 member girl group, also known as Cosmic Girls, debuting in February 2016, made a new release in January 8. The extended play album “WJ Stay?” consists of 7 tracks with the lead single “La La Love”. This album was promoted without their 3 Chinese members due to already committed activities in China. The Korean-Chinese girl group from Starship Entertainment has already produced one long play album and six extended play albums, to delight their Ujung fan base. The six member girl group from Source Music, have made a Korean comeback, with a new long play album, “Time For Us” on January 14. This album consists of 13 tracks, including lead track “Sunrise” and Korean version of Japanese single “Memoria”. Two years and six months after the release of their first LP album “LOL”, they return with not only great music, but winning 1st place on all Korean music shows during their promotions. Since their debut on January 2015, they have increased popularity exponentially with their “Power Innocence” acquired concept. “Buddies”, enjoy their latest music video here, for the lead track “Sunrise”.
Lee Minhyuk (BTOB)
Member and rapper of the boy group BTOB, from Cube Entertainment. Known also as Huta, he recently in January 15, released his first Korean album as soloist, with the title “Hutazone”, consisting of 11 tracks, with double lead songs, “Tonight” and “Ya”. Previously in mid-2018, he released his first album as soloist for Japan (“Summer Diary” EP). Let’s watch below his title song “Ya”.
Singer and rapper with real name Bae Jin Yeong. She is from Nyam Nyam Entertainment, and has composed and performed amazing tracks for dramas OST’s, being her most known song, “Stay With Me” in collaboration with Chan Yeol (from EXO), for Goblin OST in 2016. Although she has been releasing many singles since 2014, she recently released her first extended play album , “Dream of You”, in January 16. The lead track of this album is “Heart”, and here below you can watch it.
Crystal Clear, the seven member girl group from Cube Entertainment, debuting in 2015, has recently released a new album, “No. 1” on January 30. Their eight extended play album consists of 5 tracks with the lead song “No”, that had a good performance in the GAON chart. Their Cheshire fan club can enjoy again of their awaited new music. Singer, rapper and dancer, former member of JBJ and current member of boy group HOTSHOT, and previously known as Kid Monster. On January 24, made his debut as solo artist with the extended play album “ Birthday”. This album consists of four tracks with the main track “I Wanna Know”, which you can watch below.
Conformed by 13 members, and debuting in 2015, is a boy group from Pledis Entertainment with their fan club “Carat”. Since their debut they have produced 6 extended play albums, and two long play albums for Korea. They are in charge of the music composition and visual presentation of all their music. Their latest production is the extended pkay album “You Made My Dawn”, released on January 21, and consisting of 6 tracks. The lead song is “Home” and you can enjoy it below.
