K-pop Music Ranking: Update (April 22, 2019)
The update of our weekly kpop music ranking is here, after presenting our weekly countdown radio program, on April 22. This shows us the most voted songs of the week as follows.
Number 10: (G)i-dle / “Señorita” (Drops 2 spots / 6 weeks in chart)
A woman quickly fell in love with a man that she recently knows. Both are trying to seduce each other, and she only wants to be loved by him.
Number 9: BTS (ft. Halsey) / “Boy With Luv” (Chart debut)
Some years ago they released their Track “Boy In Luv”, a song about a young and immature love. Now, as years have passed and they have grown up, this song explains about what for them means a true and more mature love.
Number 8: Pentagon / ”Sha La La” (Climbs 11 spots / 3 weeks in chart)
A song written to help stressed people to relax a bit, whenever there are those situations in life that gives us a lot of pressure. A motivation song to have some relief, breaking free from whatever is in our way.
Number 7: Chen (EXO) / "Beautiful Goodbye" (Drops 4 spots / 2 weeks in chart)
A relationship that is coming to an end, because the love is dying. As they will say goodbye to each other, he wants this to be a meaningful time, remembering good times together and trying to remake their lives as best as they can. He wishes her good luck to find someone better for her.
Number 6: Kim Hyung Jun (SS501) / "Snap Shot" (Drops 2 spots / 2 weeks in chart)
A pretty girl admired by a boy, that compares her to a model, and every time he sees her, he wants to be in the imaginary picture with her, to be the perfect shot together. She needs no lights, only the moonlight to look amazing.
Number 5: KARD / "Bomb Bomb" (Same spot as previous week / 2 weeks in chart)
One night of party, a boy and a girl meet each other and even if they don't know each other, they want to be together all night.
Number 4: Jung Yong-hwa / “Melody” (Chart debut)
The third release of Jung Yong-hwa’s “Feel The Five Y” project, brings us this song gifted to his fans while he is in the military service.
In his lyrics, the leader of CNBLUE gives hope, as he says that even the endings, or farewells, are the signs of new days to come. He states clear that there is a strong bond with his fans and that he will preserve memories and all the music they enjoyed together, for the melody never to reach an end.
Number 3: BlackPink / “Kill This Love” (Chart debut)
A song about those relationships that are self-destructive. One of the two takes the worst part, and is being kept inside through a thin layer of “love”, while suffering because of the other. It is hard to say good-bye but in the end it is better. So as they say, let’s kill this love.
Number 2: 100% / “Still Loving You” (Same spot as previous week / 4 weeks in chart)
A boy still misses a lot his girl, after some time they broke up. He wonders why she forgot him so easily. But anyway, he wants her back in his life. It is so hard for him to forget her as he still loves her.
Number 1: Park Yoochun / “Slow Dance” (Stays in first spot for 6 weeks in a row / 6 weeks in chart)
Micky Yoochun wants you to be part of his stage. He knows how to make you laugh and make the crowd go happy. As he controls the tempo, he wants to slow dance with you.
